Well, in my opinion, if there are people that say that religion shouldn't be a part of society I believe they should go to another country where religion doesn't play a big role in that particular society. Throughout history, from ancient Xia Dynasty in China to the Paleolithic religions, the earliest known religious thought of man, societies have always had something that 'guided' them in some way. To say that there should be a freedom 'from' religion is not only taking away mans only root of Spiritual understanding of himself and his world around him but it's taking from man the very guidance he seeks. No man is an island unto himself, and religion or a belief in an 'outside source of life', has given man the things he needs to be able to function in society and build upon that society politically.

Granted, problems of culture and society came from the ineptitude and corruption of religion and man has suffered. It is NOT the avoidance of religion that makes a better society but the acceptance of a workable philosophy that, applied in the right manner, makes society better. Atheism does not work. Socialism does not work. Fascism does not work. Communism does not work. All of which have been tried, in various ways in a lot of other countries and, even now, those philosophies do not work. The only thing that works is a philosophy of knowing and having the basic fundamentals in life, regardless of what one spiritually believes. Religion is only ONE key to that basic foundation of a society that adheres to facts and truths of liberty and freedom.

I agree with a statement and I will add it, and people can see for themselves now, we are evolving into a much higher state of being. Some would say it's more 'logical' and others would say it's more 'spiritual'. I say we must 'unlearn' what we have learned and essentially not become obsessed with the method of what is being said but pull away for a moment and see the 'how' and 'why' in what is being said. To create something outside of a non-evolved spiritual philosophy, one that cannot be applied, one is doomed when catering to ego and emotion.
